Skelia opens its 2nd Service Center in Kyiv, Ukraine
In order to support its growth, Skelia has opened a second Service Center in Ukraine.
On May 25, 2012, Jana Zikmundova, the Ambassador of Belgium in Ukraine, Maria Savchenko, the Representative of European Business Association, customers and partners of the company took part in the opening of Skelia’s new office in Kyiv.
Patrik Vandewalle, CEO of Skelia: “The opening of our office in Kyiv is an important stage in Skelia’s accelerated international development, which aims to build a solid bridge between employers from Western-European countries and Ukrainian IT-professionals”.
Skelia proposes a successful dedicated team model, where customers and Skelia work together within “extended teams”. It means that each team in our Ukrainian Service Centers cooperates directly with a structural unit located at one of our customers somewhere in Europe. One of the distinctive features of Skelia is its trusted long-term relationship with customers, so Skelia teams are built accordingly. Currently, Skelia employs almost 100 IT-professionals working for 14 customers and continues to grow.
The new office in Kyiv supports our growth strategy and allows to expand our cooperation with existing and new clients. It will bring new opportunities, particularly in finding and hiring IT professionals and consultants in specific technologies”, – believe Olivier Istace, Patrik Vandewalle and Koen Anseeuw – Skelia founders and investors – entrepreneurs with years of experience in managing international companies and investment projects.
The new Skelia Service Center is located in the centre of Kyiv, in the prestigious business centre “Horizon Office Towers” near “Palats Sportu” and “Teatralna” metro stations. “Choosing a new office, we were guided by criteria that ensure the most comfortable working conditions for our employees while meeting European standards”, – commented Rostyslav Shchepan, Managing Director Skelia Ukraine.
Since 2009 Skelia has started to work on the Ukrainian IT-market in Lviv in the field of IT-development: software developers, analysts, quality assurance specialists… Some reference customers are Thomas Cook – one of the biggest travel companies in Europe, Victaulic – world’s leader in pipeline connections, as well as Anatole, BDO, Proudfield and other companies in Benelux & Europe.
After visiting the Skelia office and “cutting the ribbon”, all officials and guests enjoyed the cordial reception.
