Taking care of people and the community in which our company works is one of the fundamental values ​​of any business. Therefore, we strive to support donation initiatives and help those in need. This time Skelia employees have joined “Lviv IT-community for children with cancer disease to St. Nicolas Day” – joint donation fundraising initiative of IT-companies in Lviv, Ukraine.

We always support professional self-development of our employees

One of Skelia’s priorities is building solid teams of IT-professionals.  We always support professional self-development of our employees.  Therefore, we’ve subscribed  for closed online training courses on "Pluralsight" web-site.

At the moment the platform is considered as one of the most updated and structured online video courses for  Microsoft .NET technology developers mainly.

However, next to Microsoft technologies, Pluralsight gives also access to online-trainings about different software practices, SQL, JavaScript and much more.

Skelia hosting .Net User Group in Lviv

Skelia supports meetings and activities of various professional IT-communities in Ukraine.

On September 27, Skelia hosted the .NET User Group community meeting. We gathered in our Lviv offices all fans and masters of Microsoft .NET technology for interactive  debates and knowledge sharing.

More than 30 specialists from different IT-companies came to listen and discuss interesting presentations:

1. Michael Chalyj – talked about “Raven DB”
2. “Ignite session” – where any attendee can speak on his topic of interest
3. Dmitry Maleev & Oleg Sklyarneko -  talking about “Objective-C 4”

Skelia Family Day

Skelia respects people working in the company. All employees participate to the special Benefits Program. In addition, several times a year we gather as one team during an informal event to thank our employees and their families for commitment and hard work.

Skelia Company Day 2012

The Company Day is one of Skelia’s traditional parties. All employees from our Service Centers in Lviv and Kyiv were invited to this exciting event in a picturesque camping site outside of Lviv.

Skelia Photo Competition

Skelia supports its employees’ initiatives and hobbies within a company culture that fosters talent and creativity.

That’s why we have decided to organize an annual Skelia Photo Competition. During this competition every employee was able to expose his – or her – photos on display at the office and vote for others. The contest lasted for one month and many colleagues participated.

Skelia opens its 2nd Service Center in Kyiv, Ukraine

In order to support its growth, Skelia has opened a second Service Center in Ukraine.

On May 25 2012 Jana Zikmundova, the Ambassador of Belgium in Ukraine, Maria Savchenko, the Representative of European Business Association, customers and partners of the company took part in the opening of Skelia’s new office in Kyiv.

Patrik Vandewalle, CEO of Skelia: “The opening of our office in Kyiv is an important stage in Skelia's accelerated  international development, which aims to build a solid bridge between employers from Western-European countries and Ukrainian IT-professionals”.

Skelia participates to Microsoft SWIT 2012 conference

Skelia is always looking for additional and better ways to strengthen and improve the technical skills of its employees. We are proactively following employee requests for trainings, certifications and educational materials where possible.

Tkelia has organized the visit of several Skelia IT-professionals to Microsoft SWIT 2012 on 22-23 of March in Kyiv. Microsoft SWIT 2012 is considered the largest technical conference organized by Microsoft in Ukraine. This is a 2 days conference with 4 parallel streams of presentations,and more than 25 invited speakers from several European countries.

By tradition the agenda of this event is prepared by our “former newcomers” – the people who were in the role of newcomers at the latest party. The employees apply their talents and creativity, use the imagination and show their best taking part in different competitions. Throughout the evening the event was accompanied by continuous laughing.
